Our Postage is Fully Compostable and Bio-degradable

We made sure that our postage is fully bio-degradable so that it never gets to landfill and even if it does, it won’t be there long. These Kraft Eco bags are designed to biodegrade in just a few weeks and turn into useful compost. You can actually use our postage to grow plants in too! You don’t have to de-pot them when they are ready for more space, just plant the whole thing and your good to go. No waste, no fuss. If you don’t use them for planting or to make compost, please put them into recycling. They can be recycled into more packaging so we don’t have to use more resources. Our Hemp Face Masks are Fully Bio-degradable

When COVID-19 first hit, we started to see a rise in the litter of face masks around the place and also a limit of disposable face masks available. We had to step in and make sure that face masks are available for everyone to be safe but not only that, we wanted to make sure that when they need to be thrown away, they would biodegrade safely without releasing toxins into the earth. That’s why we provide Biodegradable Hemp face masks. They are Vegan friendly, Chemical and Bleach Free face masks made from Organic Cotton and Hemp meaning no pesticides were used at all in the making to give a result of a natural, safe to use product that will biodegrade when done with. 

The only paper we use is in our labels, everything else is Digital and soon to be Hemp.

We don’t use any paper as a company. The only paper we use is in our postage label and our label for our Hemp House CBD Capsules. We don’t provide a paper receipt in your delivery as we don’t see the point in wasting paper for this, we email you a receipt. We plan to have posters in the future but these will only be made from Hemp. We don’t print anything out as a company as again, we don’t see the point. We have everything that we can in digital format to reduce waste. 

Our Capsule Pots are made from PET

We are looking to get Hemp Pots to replace this or at the very least, go with rPET instead. Having our Capsule Pots made from PET means that once they get recycled, they will be used over and over again into rPET. rPET is 100% recycled plastic. rPET reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 71%. In production, this gives rPET a smaller carbon footprint than glass and aluminium cans.rPET = 0.45 of CO2 per kgPET = 2.15 CO2 per kgGlass Bottles = 0.94 CO2 per kgAluminium Can = 8.96 CO2 per kgrPET is one of the most recycled plastics in the world! Please recycle our Capsule Pots so we can all help save the environment and become more efficient together. Overall, we are all doing our part. Hemp House will always keep striving towards finding and using more renewable sources. That’s why we use Hemp in the first place! It’s an incredibly renewable plant that grows in just 4 months! There are so many uses for it but unfortunately in the UK, it’s extremely hard to find the manufacturing power to produce these products and replace harsh sources with this renewable one. The goal here at Hemp House is to harness Hemp for all of its uses, it may take some time and a lot of investment but we will get there, together.
